INTRO TO MODELING
Edwin Pierrot
Male Model and CEO of Curl Daddy Hair Care. I was born in the Dominican Republic and came to the USA at the age of 7. That’s when the journey began. I remember always having a creative spirit but did not know how that would unfold. I graduated from Montclair State University with a degree in Art and Design with a concentration in Fashion Studies and a minor in Theater Arts. In that process, I decided to become a model and work as a fashion director for a small online fashion magazine. The journey empowered me to keep pushing to express myself in front of the camera and behind the scenes. I worked for a showroom in New York City and a few brands in the fashion industry as a stylist & merchandiser. I felt that there was something else I needed to create and step into, but I wasn’t able to put my finger on it. Years later, I had an inner transformation that caused me to start my brand, CURL DADDY, the “love yourself” brand. Right now, I am focused on growing the brand, modeling with Marilyn Model Management in NYC, and finally exploring my new creative outlet, photography.
Event Summary: This introductory workshop is designed to give aspiring models a solid foundation in the fashion and commercial modeling industry. Learn about different types of modeling, how to build a strong portfolio, the importance of branding and social media, and what agencies and clients look for. We’ll also cover essential skills like posing, runway walking, and industry etiquette. Whether you’re just starting out or looking to gain confidence, this session will give you the knowledge and tools to take your first steps toward a successful modeling career.

Matthew Tofel
Matt Tofel was born in Yonkers, raised on Long Island, lived in Indonesia, Saratoga Springs, New Paltz, Providence, Jersey City, Hoboken, Brooklyn, Boston and is now somehow back in Long Island with a studio in Brooklyn. Working as everything from a bartender to a stable hand to a QA Engineer, he’s had quite the curious journey from there to here. Always in love with art, he’s tried career after career until one day he realized he’d been carrying it with him this whole time in the Nikon 35mm he’d had since he was 10. Since then, he has dedicated himself to learning everything there is to know about photography, editing, props, set design, and turning people’s ideas into photos. He’s been shooting Portrait, Boudoir, Fashion, Editorial, Fantasy and Landscape with intention for 5 years. Imaginative, irreverent, flexible, friendly, and passionate, ain’t nothing gonna stop him.
Event Summary: This workshop will teach you the essentials of posing, expression, and movement to create stunning images that captivate designers, brands, and agencies. Learn how to find your best angles, take direction from photographers, and adapt to different types of photoshoots—from editorial to commercial. You’ll also gain insight into lighting, camera awareness, and how to build a portfolio that stands out. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced model, this session will help you elevate your presence in front of the lens.

I've been a Runway fashion model for 8 years and a Commercial model and actress for 3 years. I can’t wait to share some of my experiences with you all to assist in your modeling career & journeys.
Event Summary:
This workshop will equip Participants with the essential skills to present themselves with confidence, grace, and professionalism in every setting—from castings and fittings to runway shows and photoshoots. Learn proper posture, communication, backstage etiquette, and how to leave a lasting impression on designers, photographers, and clients. Whether you’re new to modeling or refining your skills, this session will help you embody the poise and presence of a top model.
Master Class Description : How to carry yourself, how to be comfortable in your skin, how to be professional.

The Self-Love Workshop
Bubblesz
Bubblesz is a Musician, Multidisciplinary Artist, Certified Art Therapy Practitioner, Teacher, Community Organizer, Motivational Speaker, Author, Herbalist, Spiritual Advisor & Holistic Wellness Coach. She is passionate about spreading love and helping others come into balance with their mind, body, and spirit. Bubblesz believes that within your free expression lies your Superpowers and Magic. And so, she strives to be a catalyst to raise the vibrations of love, freedom, and creative expression. Bubblesz has written a book called “The Bubbly Love Course” that is an activity book that explores Meditation, Journaling, Positive Affirmations, Music, Yoga, Dance, Theater, Fashion, Art, & Performance for emotional regulation and the celebration of free expression. This book highlights that a big part of self-love is being yourself and exploring what that looks like. Bubblesz has had the opportunity to curate these workshops around NYC and other states like Orlando, Florida and internationally in Togo, Africa. Bubblesz has also been curating “Love your inner-child” Workshops for 4+ years that includes an open discussion and prompts around healing childhood trauma. Bubblesz has customized her workshops based on themes and has worked with as young as 2 years old up to Seniors. Bubblesz is a student of life and uses every experience to grow and embody the change she wants to see in the world.
Event Summary: The Self-Love Workshop” will be an open discussion with interactive activities using Positive Affirmations, Music, & Dance to highlight ways we can love and celebrate ourselves. With rejection in the beauty industry and life in general we can be denied a position or something that we want. This can sometimes translate in our minds that “we are not good enough”. Having practical tools and adjusting our mindsets can create long term results on how we can show up in the world with confidence. This workshop has the goal of building self-esteem, self-worth, and bravery to show up as you are in your Divine free expression and know that you are deserving at every stage of your process.

From Casting to Collaboration
Nyoki’Nikki Potts

Nyoki’Nikki is the CEO and founder of Melanin Rych. She entered the fashion industry as a model and over the years grew into her creativity and became a designer.
Nicole “Nyoki” Potts was born and raised in Brooklyn NY to Barbadian natives. Nyoki took an interest into arts from the early age of 6. Her favorite artist was Michael Jackson and she loved anything that involved arts and crafts. Her interest for arts grew deeper as she went to school for performing arts. She started off as customizing outfits for school talent shows as well as sang and danced. When she graduated school she ventured off into the modeling industry and have done print modeling, music videos and runway. As she is a talented ambitious individual, Nyoki wanted to explore her talents where she can express her creativity and started designing her own clothing since 2015. Nyoki is also a Life Coach outside of designing and loves to help individuals achieve and execute their dreams. She is living proof that dreams do come true.
